EMIL BRENGESJÖ
Partner

Emil Brengesjö specialises in dispute resolution. He has acted as counsel in commercial arbitrations under the rules of SCC, ICC, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations. Emil has also acted as counsel before all instances of the Swedish courts of general jurisdiction and has experience from matters before administrative courts and authorities. His experience includes disputes involving intellectual property, marketing and media, and he regularly acts as counsel before the Swedish patent and market courts. He accepts appointments as arbitrator.

Emil’s experience spans a broad spectrum of industries and disputes. He has advised and represented clients in matters related to life sciences, IT and telecom, infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, shareholders’ and cooperation agreements, licensing, agency and distribution. He has also acted as counsel in disputes over complex long-term contracts, regulatory matters, as well as proceedings concerning the challenge and annulment of arbitral awards.

In addition to his work within the field of dispute resolution, Emil is also experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, as well as advising on management of large delivery projects, particularly those involving intellectual property, tech and infrastructure.

Emil is a board member of AIPPI Sweden and authorised representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). In the 2025 edition of Legal 500’s ranking of his previous firm, Emil was recognised as a key lawyer and described as a “key name for disputes”. He co-led the Swedish part of the teams awarded with Managing IP’s Europe Cross-Border Patent Litigation Team of the Year Award in both 2023 and 2025.

Ludwig Metz specialises in dispute resolution. He has acted as counsel in commercial arbitrations under the rules of SCC, ICC, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations. His experience includes investor–state arbitrations and annulment matters under the auspices of ICSID. He has also acted as counsel before all instances of the Swedish courts of general jurisdiction and has experience from matters before administrative courts and authorities. He accepts appointments as arbitrator.

Ludwig’s experience spans a broad spectrum of industries and disputes. He has advised and represented clients in matters related to mergers and acquisitions, insurance, enforcement measures, state immunity and energy. His experience further extends to disputes involving domestic and cross-border transactions related to purchases of shares and other assets, financing arrangements, as well as the pulp, paper and forestry industries. He has also acted as counsel in disputes over complex long-term contracts, restructuring, regulatory matters, as well as proceedings concerning the challenge and annulment of arbitral awards.

In addition to his work within the field of dispute resolution, Ludwig provides strategic advice on commercial agreements and a variety of corporate law matters.
